JDI also took the company’s exhibition to the next level with a wide variety of John Deere, JCB and STHIL equipment. The skilled management team and friendly staff assisted customers during the show and the technical aspects and operation of the equipment were discussed in detail with the visitors.

An interesting item at the JDI exhibition was one of the first John Deere turn-around hand ploughs. The John Deere clothing and toy range in the new JDI exhibition and relaxation area was very popular and visitors could also keep an eye on the rugby when the Springboks challenged Japan during the warm-up session for this year’s Rugby World Cup.

JDI was also a proud sponsor of the very popular discussion forum, Nation in Conversation, which focused on five problematic issues over the three days. During the panel discussions, which were broadcast live, thought leaders of different industries shared their insights and experience relating to the specific subjects. The sessions focused on: the role of the private and public sectors to create a growing economy in South Africa; transformation success stories in the Western Cape; the grain industry with a focus on cash crops; security in the rural areas; and the wine industry. There is no doubt that Nampo Cape is here to stay. We will be visiting the Overberg again next year. Same place, same time. See you in 2020.
