Although we have been in competition with Mbriers in the past, JDI has always respected the manner in which Melchior managed the company. A number of the values and principles applied by them, contribute to the foundation on which JDI is built. It was therefore sensible to combine strengths. Both companies are dynamic and are continuously searching for new expansion opportunities. It is a relationship which can work.

Mbriers will remain a separate entity from JDI, but will be the exclusive John Deere dealer for the Riversdal and George areas. JDI will support Mbriers to service the area in the best possible manner. A resolution in this regard has already been adopted by the boards of directors of both companies, but John Deere has to grant final approval. Such approval is expected during August 2020.

Mbriers will continue to conduct business from its current premises in Riversdal. However, the George office will move to the premises used by JDI. Mbriers will therefore operate from the premises in Tamsui Industria in future.

Certain administrative changes will obviously take place relating to, inter alia, new bank accounts and new contact persons. Details in this regard will be communicated at a later stage.

JDI is looking forward to working alongside Mbriers. We are convinced that the synergies which will be unlocked as a result of this co-operation agreement, will also benefit you as client.
